Deck study season Day 3
Studying before an exam is so much better when done on the deck!

Deck studying season has begun. Today was Day 2! (Yesterday was Day 1) and today it was even sunny enough that I got a few freckles and a little tan on my nose.

Valentine's Day and some thai takeout, a perfect evening

5pm: Wine tasting success! We planned on only going to one winery, but they happened to be tasting three wineries at that particular winery so we were a little fatigued by 5pm.
We tasted August Cellars, Artisanl Winery and Et Fille. Highlights, all were great. August cellars always has a great section. Artisanal's 2006 Adams Vineyard Pinot Noir was great. We also got to barrel taste their 2008 Gamay Noir and 2009 Pinot Noir which are going to be great. Et Fille had great pinot's. They were recently rated in Portland Monthly number 10 and number 11 best bottles from Oregon last year. So we bought number 10 and 11, both 2007 Pinot Noir's (the first 2007 Pinot's I have enjoyed)

On another note Amber and Brad came down from Seattle and we had a fun dinner with them and Megan.

There wine is fabulous and if you are ever in the Yakima/Zillah area it is a must to stop by their tasting room, taste and buy a case . . . or two.
