Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!
Before Thanksgiving I got notice that I got invited to two med school interviews! December 14th for Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and January 28th for Touro University in Las Vegas! So excited by the two offers and can't wait to try out my interview skills and hopefully being quickly accepted!
This weekend we also did some wine tasting in Yamhill County! We visited many many winery and drank and drank and drank untill our teeth and tongue were purple. Some highlights from the day of wine tasting with Aj and Steph were August Cellars, were Andy has know the owner and manager for many many years, we got a personal tour of their amazing tour and awesome tasting of their and their tenants wines www.augustcellars.com some suggestions are : August Cellars Willamette Valley 2003 and 2004, 2006 Gewurztraminer and 2006 Riesling. I am not usually a white fan but these are very good. I would also suggest some of their tenant's wine http://www.artisanalwinecellars.com/ their 2006 Gamay Noir and 2006 Viognier were great. I bought 2 bottles of the Viognier and I wish I had bought 2 of their Gamay Noir as well. Wildaire Cellars also had a great Pinot Noir 2004 but it was the first wine I tasted all day and didn't grab some when I could.
We also visited www.argyle https://argylewinery.com, probably the best wine of the day was their 1997 Extended Tirage Brut a little spendy at 40 bucks (ok alot spendy) but defiantly a bottle to open when you are celebrating! I think if i get any money for Christmas i will be making a quick drive back to Dundee to purchase as many bottles as possible of this Brut.
We also visited Erath Vineyard but were disappointed in the crowds and the wines. Like I said before usually I am a big red fan (especially on Pinot Noirs) but Erath whites were much superior then their reds (but still out shined 10 fold by August Cellars and Artisanal) and their reds, especially their Pinot Noirs appeared over priced and left something to be desired in the tastings .
After we tasted every wine they had to offer in hopes Erath would redeem itself we head out to Rex Hill to taste A to Z wines but when we arrived we found their had closed at the earily hour of 3 not as 5 as advertised on their sign. Sigh, next time we will have to plan out time better.
Speaking of next time, hoping to organize a wine tasting weekend for the weekend before my birthday I believe February 2nd, i think i will pay someone to drive this next time!

It's a miracle . . . . I can walk! I get to ditch the crutches!!! . . . . if I feel comfortable and/or my leg can handle it. The last part is a little tricky, I went food shopping/ I mean wine shopping at Fred Meyers and after just a half an hour my leg is DEAD!!!!! I'm walking with a huge limp but I think I"m going to try and make it a pimp limp!!
Currently drinking "Menage a trois Red" just awesome especially if you decanter it for about an hour before drinking, I would give it over 90points!!!!
Peace out, or better yet, pimp out!

Status Post surgery 2days, since I'm also status post shower 2days, I wont be posting any photos. Anyways just a quick update, I'm feeling better today. Yesterday was very very painful, after calling the doctor I was let in on a little secret that if I re-wrap my brace and let some of the pressure off my bandage it wouldn't hurt as bad, and a few minutes a miracle happened, the pain for relieved! Yeah, ok that is enough of my perocet and wine rambling! Signing off-AO
